When I was 26 I moved to Chicago and became obsessed with street photography. On lunch breaks and weekends I'd explore the city patiently waiting for an interesting face or frame to reveal itself.
What I liked to photograph changed a bit when I had kids, but the instinct didn't. The same patience and eye I developed on those city walks is what I bring to every session now. And I'm still waiting for those real moments to reveal themselves.
Let’s be honest, most people dread family photoshoots. I get it. I don't even like getting my own picture taken, which is why I hide behind the lens. That’s why the highest praise for me is when clients leave a session genuinely surprised, saying things like, "Well, that was painless!" or "That was actually fun!" We keep it loose, we have a good time, and most importantly, you get photos you love.
I'm based in Venice, California, photographing families and weddings across Los Angeles and Southern California. I live here with my wife, two daughters and our dog Fiona. When I'm not shooting, I'm usually driving the kids somewhere, listening to a podcast, or thinking about what to make for dinner.
If any of this sounds like your kind of thing, I'd love to hear from you.
